The Richards Group has dropped out of the review for Nasdaq’s $30 million account.

The Dallas agency felt the client preferred to work with an East Coast shop, a source said. New York agencies Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners and Bouchez Kent + Co. have since replaced Richards in the review, sources said.

The other shops in contention include Arnold, Boston; McKinney & Silver, Raleigh, N.C.; and Grey, J. Walter Thompson, Young & Rubicam and incumbent Messner Vetere Berger McNamee Schmetterer/Euro RSCG, all New York.
