NEW YORK Subaru of America has tapped R/GA for Web site development duties following a review, the client confirmed.

The New York-based Interpublic Group shop beat out four undisclosed agencies to redesign Subaru.com, sources said.

The review began at least two months ago when Sam Ingram, Subaru’s head of interactive marketing, sent out 17 requests for proposals, sources said. A client representative said the e-business team started with a long list of 120 shops, but would not elaborate on the process.
