InStyle magazine has had informal discussions with several New York agencies regarding its account, a client representative confirmed.
The talks mark the second go-round the magazine has had with agencies; last summer, InStyle and Spike/DDB began a lengthy courtship which ended in January with no contract signed.
"We're always looking for new ideas," the representative said. "But it's not [a review] yet."
The budget on the account will range from $1-2 million. Grey Entertainment is the incumbent.
Spun off from People magazine in 1992, InStyle has grown a great deal in recent years. Last year, ad placements soared 44.7 percent to 1,940 pages, according to the Publishers Information Bureau. The magazine also topped Adweek's "Hot List" for 1998. -Justin Dini
