Director Holt Makes Most of Minimal Budget
BOSTON-RDW Group asserts that “You can learn a lot from an animal” in its first campaign for the Roger Williams Park Zoo.
With no major exhibits or special events to promote, the Providence, R.I., shop takes a more general approach in a pair of 30-second TV spots promoting its hometown zoo.
Shot on location at the DePuy Spring Creek ranch in Livingston, Mont., the commercials use offbeat humor and crisp cinematography to make the most of the $35,000 production budget.
One spot shows a rugged “mountain man” descend from the hills and put a new spin on fresh-water fishing, as he uses his teeth to pluck a trout from a stream.
