NEW YORK WPP Group’s J. Walter Thompson and Omnicom Group’s BBDO, both Toronto, will square off in a creative shootout next week as finalists in the review for RBC Financial Group, the client confirmed.

Independent shop Doner of Southfield, Mich., withdrew from the estimated $20 million account review to concentrate on other new business, while Omnicom’s TBWA\Chiat\Day, Toronto, was cut from the process, the client said.

Gord Kerr, director of advertising for the Toronto client, said in a statement, “As we enter the final phase of our search, we would like to congratulate the agencies involved throughout the process for the insights and enthusiasm they have brought to the table.”
