Rapp Collins/Dallas has appointed Hélène Côté, an award-winning creative director at the agency’s New York office, to the newly created position of executive vice president and chief creative officer.

In her new role at the company’s Irving, Texas, offices, Côté leads a 60-person creative department that produces a wide range of integrated direct mail, print, catalog, broadcast, Web and e-messaging advertising. National clients include Dell Computer, SBC Communications, J.C. Penney, Sony PlayStation, Adobe Systems and Hyatt Hotels.

“One of the things I was hoping to bring to [the new position] is some spirit of inventing,” said Côté.
