Fielded in February among 2,204 adults, a poll by Harris Interactive and Witeck-Combs Communications found relatively little difference between gay and heterosexual workers in their notions of the ideal supervisor (see chart). Managers who pride themselves on their grasp of “the big picture” may feel chagrined to learn how little impression it makes on the people they oversee.
