Finalists in the Radio Mercury Awards 2000 competition were announced last week.
Southeastern agencies making the cut include Atlanta’s Turner Fernandez Turner for its “Dump Truck” spots for the Georgia Department of Transportation and Austin Kelley Advertising in the public service category for “Barking” on behalf of the Humane Society of (Georgia’s) Cobb County.
In Austin, Texas, GSD&M’s “Jaws” and “Star Wars” spots for Metropolitan Winds, a local musical ensemble, are in the running. The Richards Group in Dallas was tapped for its “Deer” spot on behalf of Motel 6.
Winners will be announced at an awards luncheon at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York on Thursday, June 5.
