NEW YORK – Radio inventory in many markets remains tight through the third week of December. Although 1st QTR money is out there, it’s scarce. But the number of clients booking annuals is on the rise. Local retail is the biggest category eating up inventory, but national retail chains, telcos and autos are strong too. Stations of all shapes and sizes in Chicago, Detroit, New York, Washington, Boston and Dallas are tight. Second tier stations are catching the spillover.
