RAC Splits Media, Creative in Review

DALLAS National rental chain Rent-A-Center has chosen an agency for its $26 million media account and is preparing to conduct a search for a creative shop, the company said.

The Plano, Texas-based company would not disclose the agency chosen for the media work but said an announcement would come this week.

Euro Retail, part of the Euro RSCG network, has handled both media and creative for the past five years. Going forward, RAC plans to hire a “best-in-class” agency for media, creative, analytics and possibly one for online work, said Ann Davids, RAC vice president for marketing and advertising.
