Hoffman/Lewis here has launched the first multimedia campaign for Purple Moon, a new Mountain View, Calif.-based company devoted solely to creating CD-ROM entertainment for girls aged 8-12. The tagline is, “Meet me at Purple Moon.” Billings are estimated at $6 million.
Two 30-second TV spots for Purple Moon’s flagship titles, “Secret Paths in the Forest” and “Rockett’s New School,” broke last week on network and cable stations in New York and Chicago. The campaign will roll out in eight other major markets, including Atlanta, Los Angeles and Dallas, starting Nov.
