Publicis-Hal Riney & Partners here is backing a promotion between client Subway Restaurants and Nickelodeon with a TV spot called "Mutual Agreement" and print ads.
The promotion, running June 1 to July 5, links Milford, Conn.-based Subway's Kids' Pak meals and Nick Jr.'s Blue's Clues TV show for preschoolers. Subway previously ran a promotion between Kids' Paks and the Dream Works SKG movie Paulie, but aired no TV behind that effort.
The spot will air on Nickelodeon and other outlets. Parental involvement is sought with trivia questions on 32-ounce beverage cups concerning TV shows from the 1960s and '70s currently seen on Nick at Nite and Nick at Nite's TV Land cable channel. The toys included with Kids' Paks will be linked to the Blue's Clues show. --Trevor Jensen
