Publicis has named its General Motors-dedicated agency Chemistri, a rebranding mandated by the dissolution of D’Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles. Detroit-based Chemistri will continue to handle GM’s Cadillac and Pontiac brands and operate under former D’Arcy North America CEO Patrick Sherwood, who takes the president and CEO titles at the shop. Gary Topolewski will continue to oversee creative. The agency will be aligned with Publicis’ Leo Burnett, whose interactive group was formerly named Chemistri.
