Publicis here was named agency of record for Dallas Area Rapid Transit last week.
Publicis defeated Dallas agencies Moroch & Associates, Krause Associates and Richards/King for the estimated $2 million annual account. The two-year contract has two one-year renewal options, according to DART ad manager Micah Causey.
Incumbent Valentine Radford in Dallas did not defend the business.
Publicis group account director David Edwards said the shop will be subcontracting portions of the account–worth at least 30 percent of the billings, per DART–to minority- and women-owned firms.
Advertising will be divided be-tween programs to increase DART’s ridership and promotion of the system’s light rail expansion over the next several years.
