CALIFORNIA

Rapp Collins Worldwide promoted Anne Marie Schiller to managing director of its Torrance office, a new post. She formerly served as senior vice president and relationship manager, in charge of strategic acquisitions and loyalty and customer management programs for clients such as DirecTV, MCI and Philips Sonicare.

La Agencia de Orci & Asociados elevated Dilys Tosteson Garcia from director of business development to chief operating officer. Prior to joining the Los Angeles-based Hispanic agency, Garcia created targeted communications programs as an independent consultant for brands such as Wells Fargo, Disney Consumer Products and Pacific Bell. She has also held sales, marketing and management positions at Radio Unica Network and Vista magazine.



CONNECTICUT

Janet Abel joined Mintz & Hoke in Avon as production manager. She had been an account manager and production manager for 13 years at insurance giant Cigna in Bloomfield, where she worked on marketing programs. In addition, Mintz & Hoke named Judy Eckstrom a production artist. For the past six years, she has worked as a freelancer through her studio, Judy Eckstrom Design. She has also been an art director at Keiler & Co. in Farmington.



GEORGIA

EyeWonder in Atlanta hired Sue Nolan as director of agency sales in its New York office. Most recently, Nolan worked as a senior consultant for Portin Parker Consulting in Connecticut.



ILLINOIS

Tapestry, Starcom MediaVest Group's multicultural media unit, promoted Elena Marroquin to vice president at the agency. As the Chicago shop's director of strategy, Marroquin has led strategic planning for all of Tapestry's clients, including Kellogg and Americatel, as well as Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts.

DDB in Chicago named creative director Becky Kozlen and Tribal DDB solutions director Cass Kovel vice presidents of the agency. Kozlen, who arrived at DDB in 1995 as an art director, was promoted to creative director in 2003. Kovel, who joined the shop's interactive arm in 2001, leads e-marketing efforts for Home Depot and Expo.com.

MASSACHUSETTS

Modernista! added Jason Rapport as a junior studio designer. He will work on various assignments for the Boston shop, whose clients include Anheuser-Bush, General Motors' Hummer and TIAA-CREF. Rapport is a recent graduate of the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.



MICHIGAN

John VanVleck joined Doner in Southfield as a senior vice president, brand planner working on the Sirius and Cox Communications accounts. VanVleck formerly was a planning director at McCann Erickson in Detroit, working on the Buick and Honeywell accounts.



MINNESOTA

Minneapolis agency Mackenzie Marketing assigned Steven Jahn to its account-management team. Most recently assistant vice president and senior product manager at U.S. Bank, Jahn also has experience marketing financial services and technology, working for Allina Hospitals and Clinics, the Minnesota Medical Association and Honeywell, among others.



NEW YORK

Michael Doebler progressed to public relations and public affairs account supervisor at Eric Mower and Associates in Rochester. Doebler arrived at EMA in 1999 as an assistant account executive. He now manages strategic planning, development and execution of public relations programs for clients such as ExxonMobil Chemical, Kodak Polychrome Graphics and the JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge.

William J. Mastellon joined KSL Media in New York as senior vice president, chief financial officer, and Tarun Chachra was named vice president, chief technology officer. Mastellon was formerly president, U.S. operations at Firm Decisions. Chachra arrives at KSL from Publicis Worldwide, where he was vice president, IT director.



NORTH CAROLINA

Loeffler Ketchum Mountjoy Advertising appointed Jennifer Jenkins account supervisor for clients North Carolina Division of Tourism & Film, Cargill Dow and Just Fresh Bakery Cafe & Market. Jenkins joins the Charlotte shop from O'Neil Communications in Tyngsboro, Mass., where she was an account executive. In addition, LKM hired Anne Marie Kerr as account manager on the Georgia-Pacific business. She will also serve as supervisor for the agency's student-intern program. Kerr most recently was a brand planner and client manager at Corder Philips Wilson Advertising in Charlotte.



PENNSYLVANIA

Blattner Brunner in Pittsburgh hired David Kwasnick as creative director. Most recently, he was at Foote Cone & Belding in Chicago, working as a copywriter on the Coors Light business.



TEXAS

Stan & Lou Advertising in Houston promoted account executive Laura Townsend to account supervisor. She will manage the Kelsey Seybold Clinic and St. Luke's Episcopal Health System accounts while assisting in new-business development. The agency also elevated Josh Powers from copywriter and broadcast producer to associate creative director. In addition, Stan & Lou hired Adrian Alexander and Meredith Callaway as copywriter and art director, respectively. Both recent graduates of the University of Texas at Austin, Alexander and Callaway will work with clients such as Zula, Mercury Room, Baoka Bar and SNAP.

The Marketing Arm installed Tim Dyer as creative manager. He will assist in developing creative concepts for the Dallas agency's four business units: USM&P, Millsport, Talent Link and Promo Link. Dyer had worked as a copywriter and project manager at MBS Direct in Columbia, Mo.

Reach Media in Dallas appointed Marty Raab senior vice president of marketing. He will develop sales products to target multicultural populations, particularly the African American community. Prior to joining Reach, Raab was executive vice president of marketing and chief strategy officer at Premiere Radio Networks in Los Angeles.



VERMONT

Eating Well, a Burlington-based publisher of information on food and health, named Diane de Spirlet national advertising director, effective immediately. De Spirlet, who will report to Eating Well CEO Nancy Small, will establish the first in-house advertising department for flagship magazine EatingWell. De Spirlet will oversee strategic planning, marketing partnerships and day-to-day management of the sales effort, which includes sales reps in New York, Chicago, Detroit, Dallas, Atlanta, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Prior to joining Eating Well, de Spirlet served as advertising sales manager at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia.
