ArizonaE.B. Lane Marketing Communications appointed Bill Woodward vice president/director of public relations. He will oversee a 12-person department at the Phoenix agency, maintain relationships with clients and lead new-business efforts for the PR group. Woodward, 48, most recently was manager of public affairs at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, where he oversaw internal and external marketing-communications activities. CALIFORNIAThe San Francisco Chronicle named Allen Olivo vice president of marketing. He will be responsible for The Chronicle's overall marketing and brand-building efforts, including advertising, events, research, media and public relations. He will also help the advertising-sales teams develop advertising-sales and marketing programs. Olivo joins the newspaper from Apple Computer, where he was senior director, retail marketing, with responsibility for marketing programs for Apple retail stores. He reports to Gary Randazzo, executive vice president and general manager. Music and sound-design boutique barton:holt in Culver City signed Catherine O'Donnell as producer. O'Donnell began her career in 1997 as creative manager to Mike Moser, partner and executive creative director at the former Goldberg Moser O'Neill in San Francisco. A year later, she became a staff producer, working with clients such as Cisco Systems, Kia Motors, Beringer Wine Estates, Sempra Energy, Micron Computers and Sybase. She moved to Los Angeles in 2001 and worked as a freelance producer on Toyota, ESPN and Frito-Lay campaigns. COLORADOThe Envision Group in Greenwood Village named Christina Macaluso senior graphic designer. She will spearhead design concepts for clients that include Passtime, Colorado State University, and Inverness Hotel and Conference Center, and will also help the company focus on new communication tools and brand-building strategies. Macaluso, 26, previously worked with the in-house design team at Boston Scientific Corp. in Natick, Mass., and J. Johnson Design in Baton Rouge, La. ILLINOISStephan & Brady, an advertising agency with offices in Chicago and Madison, Wis., hired Rich DeRicco as art director, Troy Giesegh as graphics production artist and Megan Whitty as public relations coordinator.LOUISIANAKeating Magee Advertising in New Orleans tapped Martha Boyd as a media coordinator. Boyd, a recent graduate of Vanderbilt University, will work with clients Cox Communications, the Louisiana SIDS Program and Prevent Child Abuse Louisiana. new yorkIPG's Jay Advertising in Rochester promoted Jeff Goff and Earl Repp to senior vice president positions. Goff, formerly vice president of broadcast production and executive producer, will continue to lead that department and will oversee 14 staffers. He will manage broadcast accounts for Wegmans, Buick, GMC Truck and Chase-Pitkin. Repp will lead the retail creative-management team, overseeing the direction of Jay's leading retail ad accounts. Goff has been with the agency for 16 years, and Repp has worked at Jay for 26 years. NORTH CAROLINACorder Philips Wilson hired Elizabeth Wyatt as public relations client manager. She will work on the Charlotte shop's Mama Ricotta's Southern Deli, Cogdell Spencer Advisors, YMCA of Greater Charlotte and Herring Ridge accounts. Prior to joining CPW, Wyatt was director of marketing and public relations at the Museum of the Confederacy in Richmond, Va. OHIOAd veteran Judy Thompson was named a business development specialist at Loren/Allan/Odioso. She will oversee the Cincinnati agency's general new-business efforts, as well as generational and niche marketing. Before joining L/A/O, Thompson operated her own marketing-communications practice and was director of ideas and attitudes at Cincinnati FiftyPlus! Prior to that, she worked at Cinergy/Cincinnati Gas & Electric for more than 15 years in a variety of senior communications roles. Thompson is also chairman of the board of the American Advertising Federation's District 5, which covers Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia. OREGONIntegrated marketing-communications firm CMD in Portland added Brad Wignall, 33, as senior art director in the creative group. Wignall will work with several CMD clients, with a focus on the image initiative for Jeld-Wen. He previously was an art director at 2twentydesign in Windsor, Colo., director of creative services for Invision in Fort Collins, Colo., and an art director at Thibeault Advertising in Bozeman, Mont. His client experience includes T-Mobile, Hewlett-Packard, New Belgium Brewery and USA Cycling.PENNSYLVANIADudnyk, a marketing-communications firm in Horsham, appointed Marie O'Neill senior vice president and chief marketing officer. She will oversee the company's strategic direction and new-business activities. O'Neill was previously a senior partner and worldwide client services director at Ogilvy & Mather in New York. She also held senior positions with firms such as Berlin Cameron & Partners in New York, Charles Schwab & Co. in San Francisco and Earle Palmer Brown in Philadelphia. O'Neill will report to Edward Dudnyk, chief executive officer. TEXASDallas-based Michael & Partners named Sarah Martin an account executive. Prior to joining the shop, Martin worked in the Dallas and Houston offices of Golin/Harris International, where she worked on the Texas Instruments account for two years. Rives Carlberg hired Pam Warren as media director. Prior to joining the Houston shop, Warren operated Los Angeles-based PWA Media from 1999-2002 and spent 10 years at Ogilvy & Mather, also in Houston. VIRGINIAThe Martin Agency promoted six staffers. Debbie Andrews advanced to vice president and print production supervisor. She joined the Richmond shop in 1994 and most recently was print production supervisor. Mike Boyd, named vice president and management supervisor, was hired as an account supervisor in 1998. Susan Foster was promoted from executive assistant to vice president, executive assistant. She joined the agency's account management team in 1992. Tyler Franks, formerly director of transportation, rose to vice president and director of transportation. Shelley Norman, named vice president and senior project manager, has been with Martin for 14 years. Most recently, Norman was senior project manager. Helen Vennard, appointed vice president, executive assistant, joined the shop in 1970. Vennard previously was executive assistant to president and creative director Mike Hughes.
