NEW YORK -- Progressive Corp. will meet with six agencies next week in the insurance company's search for an agency to handle a new creative assignment targeting college-aged drivers, sources said.
The shops are Wunderman in New York; Rubin Postaer and Associates in Santa Monica, Calif., 360 Youth in Cranbury, N.J.; College Kit in Hanover, N.H.; Butler, Shine & Stern in Sausalito, Calif. and Doner, the Southfield, Mich. agency that handles Progressive's core account. The meetings, which will focus on credentials and chemistry, will take place at the client's headquarters in Mayfield Village, Ohio, sources said.
Based on the meetings, Progessive will cut to three finalists, said sources. Final presentations are expected in December.
Billings on the assignment are estimated at $5 million. The review is being managed by New York consultancy Roth Associates.
