When you hear the name Roseanne, you might think actress and talk-show host. But you may soon be able to add ad-industry professional to that list.

Roseanne Barr and her production company, Full Moon & High Tide Productions, recently opened a production studio bearing the same name. The studio will be managed by Barr's son, Jake Pentland, and her son-in-law, Jeff Machala.

The new entity hopes to attract ad agencies looking for a place to film, among other clients.

"Though relatively small in size," said Pentland, "our studio is fully equipped and convenient.'' It features an 800-square-foot soundstage, a lighting system, and a dubbing room.

Barr has used the name Full Moon & High Tide throughout her career. Its exact meaning is unknown to her son, although a popular myth claims a full moon and high tide bring good luck. Some believe Barr has used this name as a lucky charm in her ventures.
