The nation's second-largest manufacturer of sports apparel has tapped Cohn Godley Norwood here for advertising duties.
Pro Player is a subsidiary of Fruit of the Loom. Its account billings are estimated at $3 million.
"They get it," said Mike Martin, Pro Player's director of retail marketing. "They had a good mixture of copywriting, strong print media and most importantly, [a cultural connection] to sports marketing."
The account was previously at Harris Drury Cohen in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., which devised Pro Player's "You have a life. Look good in it" tagline. The agency's location--far from the client's Hudson, N.H., headquarters--made interaction difficult, Martin said, and contributed to his decision to change shops. --Sarah Jones
