BOSTON–Pro Media chief executive Nancy Ryan said there will be no layoffs among the 70-person staff at her independent agency in the wake of Staples moving media chores on its advertising account to Grey’s MediaCom.

Staples, Framingham, Mass., spent about $50 million on ads in the first nine months of 2001, according to CMR; spending in 2000 had been $110 million. Cliff Freeman and Partners, New York, retains creative chores, which were not in review.
