Polo Ralph Lauren Unwraps Major Company Reorganization

NEW YORK--Polo Ralph Lauren Corp. has announced a major internal reorganization of its global marketing, advertising and corporate communications divisions. The changes are intended to "better support Polo Ralph Lauren's global business development strategies as well as integrate the international marketing and communications platforms," according to a company release.

In the reorganization, Jeff Morgan has been named president, Polo Ralph Lauren Media Group, where he will be responsible for global marketing, advertising, media business development and corporate communications and manage the company's e-commerce initiative.

In addition, Paddy Byng has been named to the newly created position of svp-international marketing, public relations and licensee business development; David Lauren, was named to the newly created of svp-marketing, advertising and corporate communications and direct the company's e-commerce marketing efforts; Mary Randolph Carter has been promoted to svp-advertising.

The company did not say how these changes would affect future media campaigns. The company spent $75.4 million in 2000 and more than $44 million for the first six months of 2001, per CMR.
