Polaroid Corp. has abruptly pulled its new tagline, “Right now,” from its latest TV campaign and replaced it with the 3-year-old “See what develops.”
The trouble began barely two weeks ago, when a 30-second branding spot from lead agency Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, San Francisco, broke for a three-week flight with the new tag. The ad apparently aired for barely 48 hours before high-level “internal discussions” at Polaroid resulted in it being pulled and retagged with the original line, said company representative Arlene Henry.
