BOSTON Seeking to better service its clients here and mine the market for potential new business, Pierce-Cote Advertising has opened a Boston office.
The Osterville, Mass., shop decided to expand its presence to better service several Boston-area clients including the Lenox Hotel, Copley Square Hotel and Metropolitan Properties of America, a manager of luxury housing properties.
"For quite some time, we've had clients in Southeastern Massachusetts and Boston, so we're used to going between the two areas," said agency president Rebecca Pierce. "This seemed like a logical step [to service all of our clients]."
Melissa Huggard, senior account executive and director of the agency's interactive division, will be in charge of the new office. Pierce will divide her time between Osterville and Boston.
Pierce-Cote works with freelancers in the Boston area and plans to add more full-time staff in the coming months, Pierce said.
Other clients of the 12-person independent shop include the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce, Chatham Bars Inn in Chatham, Mass., and Historic New England Driving Tours.
