NEW YORK McLane, the food and distribution company, today agreed to change its packaging after Procter & Gamble filed suit alleging some of the firm’s products look too much like its own.

P&G sued the Temple, Texas, McLane in December claiming that McLane’s paper towels, called “Towels,” copied Bounty’s packaging and that a toilet paper called Soft N Plush copies Charmin. P&G also charged that McLanes’ over-the-counter cold remedies DayTime and NightTime copy its DayQuil and NyQuil brands, respectively.
