BOSTON Pfizer’s search for a holding company to handle public relations duties for its cardiovascular franchise has concluded with the selection of WPP, said the company.

In November, the New York-based client had invited WPP, Interpublic Group and Omnicom Group to each assemble PR teams to pitch the account. Omnicom dropped out of the process at an earlier stage.

The budget for the account is undisclosed.

The pharmaceutical giant’s cardiovascular drug line includes the cholesterol-lowering drug Lipitor, as well as Norvasc and Caduet.
