Mountain Dew says popular rapper Busta Rhymes will appear in its newest ads.

Starring in an execution reminiscent of the desert setting in the movie Mad Max, he comes to the rescue with a big truck of Mountain Dew.

The spot, from the Three Trees Production division of UniWorld Group, New York, is consistent with parent company PepsiCo’s urban-flavored ad push.

This week, Pepsi, which owns Mountain Dew, unveils the first of two “Joy of Pepsi” spots featuring singer Wyclef Jean.
