CONNECTICUT Keiler & Co. in Farmington has promoted James Pettus to creative director from associate creative director. In his new position, Pettus will oversee creative development in the areas of new media and new business. Mintz & Hoke in Avon has named Bill Field to its board of directors. Field is a senior vice president and director of account services. David Lebow has been selected as vice president of station research and development at Chancellor Media in Westport. Lebow was president of Rating Point Management. MASSACHUSETTS Arnold Communications has promoted Sara Kaminski and Rachel Houk Seeger to art directors. The Boston agency also has tapped Brian Merrill as copywriter and Harley Garbaccio as creative assistant. Lotus Development Corp. in Cambridge has appointed Bryan Simmons vice president of public relations. Simmons has worldwide responsibility for business and press relations. Duncan Todd has joined Champagne/Lafayette Communications in Natick as vice president, sales and marketing. Todd previously was vice president of marketing for Mercantile Printing Co. CPS Direct in Woburn has hired Robert Cargill as associate creative director. Cargill has headed his own copywriting and design firm, Cargill Creative, for the past seven years. Hannah Davis has been named director of business development for Donovan Group in Northboro. Davis previously was senior account executive and project manager for Wave. James Savage has been tapped as chief executive officer of PlanetAll in Cambridge. Savage formerly was vice president and general manager of ZDNet. PlanetAll also has appointed Perry Allison, former director of advertising and sponsorship sales at Digital's AltaVista, to vice president of advertising sales. Holland Mark Martin Edmund in Boston has named Robert Deininger associate media director, Linda Tassi media planner, Erica Shaw traffic manager and Danika Vittitoe assistant brand manager. Barbara McKay has been tapped by Bay State Gas Co. as vice president, corporate communications. Her responsibilities include community relations and employee communications. She most recently was president of The McKay Group. The Castle Group in Boston has selected Mick Emmett as senior account executive, Jennifer Knight as account executive and Erin Nedell as assistant account executive. Schneider & Associates in Boston has appointed Michael Sinert senior account executive and Jennifer Reamer account executive. Both join the company's business-to-business group. Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos in Boston has promoted Nancy Barratt and Karen Levine to account supervisors from senior account executives and Sharon McDonald to vice president, print business affairs manager, from vice president, broadcast business affairs. In addition, Jackie Lyman has moved to Hill, Holliday Interactive as process coordinator from the human resources department. Dickinson Direct in Braintree has promoted Jeffrey Harris to the newly created position of vice president of corporate support and Lisa Trager to senior graphic designer. Harris previously was chief technical officer. In addition, the company has hired Kimberley Hurley as senior copywriter and Craig Sabatello as creative coordinator. Schwartz Communications in Wellesley has named Chris Sampson and David Seuss senior media specialists. Sampson brings 15 years of experience to his new position, having worked in marketing communications posts at such companies as Data General, Bull HN Information Systems and GTE. Seuss had been with Lois Paul & Partners in Lexington. Also joining the high-technology public relations shop is account executive Christian Potts and account coordinators Christina Dalessio, David Griffin, Sara Jones and Kerri Malinowski. The J.M Perrone Co. in Weymouth has promoted Tom Larner to human resources manager. At The Weber Group in Cambridge, Marian Hughes and Patty Williams have been promoted to account directors. RHODE ISLAND Leonard/Monahan in Providence has promoted Victoria Birk to vice president and account group director. Birk will oversee the accounts of such clients as Foster Grant, Markem, CTI Cryogenics, Women and Infants Hospital, Care New England and Providence Energy. VERMONT Brick House Creative Co. in Burlington has appointed Fred Polhemus account services director. Polhemus previously was creative development team manager at The Greenwich Workshop.
