Online holiday sales continue to grow compared to last year, as consumers spent $196 million on the Web the day after Thanksgiving, according to comScore Networks. That is a 30 percent increase over the $150 million Web shoppers dished out on Black Friday a year ago.

According to Nielsen/NetRatings, 18 percent more surfers shopped online the day after Thanksgiving versus the daily average for last Monday through Thursday. Last year, 22 percent shopped online on Black Friday compared to the rest of the week.
