NEW YORK First-quarter ad revenue for Web publishers grew an average of 41 percent over the year-ago period, according to a recent poll conducted by the Online Publishers Association.

The poll, which surveyed 24 OPA member companies including USAToday.com, Wall Street Journal Online and MSNBC, found that total revenue among the group was up an average of 37.6 percent over the same term last year.

Recently, two OPA member companies posted Q1 revenue numbers slightly below that average.
