Omnicom Seeks Gold with New PepsiCo Agency

CHICAGO — Omincom is expected to name the agency handling $350 million worth of PepsiCo business Element 79, the Periodic Table of Element’s designation for gold, sources said.

The agency was started in late September and is being run by former Foote, Cone & Belding Chicago president Brian Williams.

J. Walter Thompson Chicago’s former creative head Dennis Ryan was tapped in November as chief creative, reporting to Williams.

Element 79 is staffed with at least 52 former FCB employees who worked on the agency’s Quaker Oats business.
