BOSTON Riding an especially strong international performance and solid domestic numbers, Omnicom Group today said its global net income for Q3 improved more than 14 percent to $202 million on a 12 percent boost in revenue to $3.1 billion, compared to the same period in 2006.

Diluted earnings per share in Q3 were up 19 percent to 62 cents per share compared to the same frame a year ago.

Omnicom’s numbers were generally ahead of analysts’ expectations and stood in contrast to last week’s disappointing financial report by rival WPP Group.
