Omnicom Buys Stake in Carat Parent

LONDON - Omnicom has bought a 9% stake in Aegis, the ailing media buyer, as part of a major restructuring exercise. It remains to be seen how Omnicom will handle the potential conflict between Aegis' media buying giant Carat and the Media Partnership, which the holding company runs with WPP.
