NEW YORK–Two senior ranking executives are leaving DDB Needham here.





Ruth Ayers, director of new business, is leaving to join N.W. Ayer & Partners. Separately, Damian O’Malley, director of planning, chief strategic officer and a U.K. native, is returning to Europe to start his own ‘ state-of-the-art brand consultancy.’





Ayers’ move will reunite her with Mary Lou Quinlan, chief executive officer of the agency, who previously worked at DDB. Ayers will take on an expanded new business role with the title of executive vice president, marketing director.
