CHICAGO Allstate has tapped OgilvyOne to handle direct marketing after a review of undisclosed contenders, according to the company.

The WPP Group’s Chicago agency will handle the Northbrook, Ill., insurer’s database marketing, including direct mail, segmentation and analytics.

“The addition of OgilvyOne Chicago for our direct marketing work is representative of Allstate’s emphasis on working with best-in-class agencies to help broaden our footprint from insurance to providing Americans with the best protection and financial security solutions for their needs,” said Joe Tripodi, Allstate’s chief marketing officer, in a statement.
