CHICAGO – Ogilvy & Mather/Chicago, citing a change in its client mix and its cost structure, laid off 19 people in Friday. The 19 were from all levels in all different departments, according to a spokesperson. The cut represents 9% of its staff, which is down to 184 from 203. O&M cut ties with client Cellular One earlier this summer, and Eagle Supermarket advertising has dwindled to nothing. The agency is also bracing for cuts in compensation from its biggest client Sears, Roebuck & Co.
