Shall I stay or shall I go? It depends. A Maritz Poll detects some asymmetry in the factors that make workers want to stay put and the factors that push them toward the exit. When people were asked why they stay at their current company, the issues most often cited as “extremely important” were benefits (44 percent), compensation (38 percent) and location (36 percent). As you can see from the chart, there’s a different hierarchy among the issues that prompt people to leave a job.
