NEW YORK Office Depot has shifted its estimated $40 million-plus national broadcast buying to Omnicom’s OMD from Havas’ Media Planning Group, a Media Planning representative confirmed.

OMD’s sister shop BBDO, handles creative and planning for Office Depot. The Office Depot executives, under the philosophical belief that marrying the creative and media portion of the business would lead to greater efficiencies and cost savings in their advertising, a source said. Office Depot was not available for comment.
