Employers have been tightfisted about raises in recent years, even as rising healthcare costs have forced them to scrimp on benefits. This sounds like a formula for employee unrest. However, a survey fielded by Rasmussen Reports for Hudson Highland Group finds workers largely content with their compensation, though skeptical of the process that yields this result.

Most broadly, the survey asked, “In general, how satisfied are you with the compensation and benefits you currently receive?” A majority said they are “very satisfied” (23 percent) or “somewhat satisfied” (43 percent); 23 percent said they’re “not very satisfied,” and 9 percent “not at all satisfied.”
