NEW YORK — Novartis has chosen to consolidate its $250 million media buying and planning business with WPP Groups’ MindShare, sources said. MindShare beat out Creative Media, which teamed with OMD for the review, and Bcom3’s MediaVest. The East Hanover, N.J.-based marketer of such brands as Gerber, Ex-Lax and Maalox, began the review last April.

Dave Braun was the consultant helping to manage the review.
