NEW YORK McCann-Erickson has won creative duties on the estimated $50 million account of Novartis’ Lotrel hypertension medicine, sources said.

The Interpublic Group agency here beat out WPP’s Ogilvy & Mather and IPG sibling Deutsch, both New York, and The Quantum Group of Parsippany, N.J.

The East Hanover, N.J., client heard the first round of presentations in late February (Adweek, March 3.) Novartis has advertised the drug to medical professionals, but now wants to target consumers, sources said.
