CHICAGO Sona MedSpa has selected Northlich to handle its advertising account following a review, the client said.

With plans to build a chain of 300 laser hair-removal and skin-care franchises in the next two years, 2005 ad spending could should be about $15 million, said Kurt Schusterman, chief marketing officer for the Franklin, Tenn.-based company.

Northlich, a Cincinnati independent, bested MARC USA in Pittsburgh and Bernstein-Rein in Kansas City, Mo., both independents, in the final round. Interpublic Group’s Mullen in Pittsburgh withdrew prior to final presentations.
