Nortel's Digital Duties Go to T3

DALLAS T3 has picked up the digital advertising account of Nortel Networks, the agency said.

The Austin, Texas-based shop won the client's online creative and media buying in a review against undisclosed contenders, the agency said.

It is unclear whether incumbent Temerlin McClain of Irving, Texas, participated in the review. The Interpublic Group shop still handles other advertising duties for the Brampton, Ontario-based client.

"We selected T3 because their strategic and creative design approaches demonstrate a solid understanding of our current digital advertising business objectives," client senior manager of global branding and advertising Jason Dyer said in a statement.

T3's first campaign for the client breaks this week, the shop said.

Nortel spent $6 million in media last year, according to CMR.
