BOSTON Nikon today selected McCann-Erickson for its $20-million advertising account.

The New York-based unit of the Interpublic Group of Cos. overcame crosstown shop Bozell, also an IPG holding, and Arnold, Boston, which is owned by Havas. The three finalists made presentations to Nikon officials earlier this week. Consultants with Pile and Co., Boston, oversaw the review process and confirmed McCann’s selection.

McCann succeeds Fallon, Minneapolis, on the camera company’s business. The agency’s mission is to revive the Melville, N.Y.-based
