BEAVERTON, Ore. — Nike Inc. said it has named company veterans Charles D. Denson and Mark G. Parker to the newly created position of president of the Nike brand.

Mr. Denson, currently vice president of Nike USA, and Mr. Parker, currently vice president of global footwear, “will focus significant creative and general management talent on the largest portion of our business,” Nike Chairman and Chief Executive Philip Knight said in a prepared statement.

Mr. Knight will continue as chairman, CEO and president of the sportswear company.
