“Leagas Breaks New Adidas Image Work
SAN FRANCISCO-Leagas Delaney will launch a national image campaign for Adidas America on June 12, the first such initiative since Adidas was relaunched in the U.S. six years ago [Adweek, April 26]. The tagline is, “Long live sport.” The TV campaign, backed by an estimated $20-30 million, will run on sports programming and teen-oriented shows. Some 8-10 spots produced in a documentary-style format focus on the personal achievements of highly dedicated amateur athletes, such as a runner with artificial legs.
