SicolaMartin has named Alan Vassberg account director of BMC Software. Vassberg arrives at the Austin, Texas, shop, from nearby Tocquigny Advertising, where he managed accounts such as Dell and Caterpillar. The agency has also appointed Nancy George account supervisor on the Advanced Micro Devices business. George most recently was vice president and group account director at Austin’s GSD&M. Shawna Pitts has been hired as a senior copywriter. Pitts previously was a marketing communications specialist for Green Mountain Energy Co.
