CHICAGO dRM DDB chief creative officer Luis Miguel Messianu is taking over as president of the Omnicom agency, which is also changing its name to Alma DDB, the shop confirmed.

Messianu, 49, one of the founders of the agency and chief creative officer since its inception in 1994, assumes the duties handled by president and CEO Eduardo del Rivero, 62, who is retiring.

“Luis Miguel has the passion and leadership to take this agency to the next level, and I’m sure he’ll produce terrific business results for their clients,” said Dick Rogers, president of DDB North America, in a statement.
