New Orleans Addys Recognize Mayer, Magee

DALLAS Peter A. Mayer Advertising received the most honors at last week's New Orleans Addy Awards presentation. Other big winners included Zehnder Communications and Keating Magee Advertising.

Peter A. Mayer won a total of 50 Addys at Friday's ceremony of the Advertising Club of New Orleans. The New Orleans shop took home 29 gold and 21 silver awards. Its gold-winning entries were for the New Orleans Saints, Stewart Enterprises, Louisiana SPCA and Dr. Tichenor's, which also received a special judges' award.

Another big winner was Zehnder Communications with 47 Addys (21 gold, 26 silver). The local agency won seven golds for its City of New Orleans' Care Again campaign. The effort promoted New Orleans as an economically developing city that is a great place to both live and work.

In addition, Keating Magee Advertising of New Orleans took home eight gold and 14 silver awards. Gold Addys were awarded to the shop's work for the City of New Orleans, Jackson Brewery, National Donor Awareness Foundation, Tulane University Hospital & Clinic and Rain Vodka.

In addition, KMA president Jennifer Magee was named Ad Person of the Year for her contributions to the advertising profession in New Orleans.
