BOSTON The premier issue of New England Home, a magazine devoted to the luxury market, is set to debut by month's end.

The September/October issue will have 180 pages with 117 advertisers (totaling 93 ad pages) and a guaranteed circulation of 60,000, according to the publisher, New England Media Partners in Waltham, Mass.

The title targets affluent households throughout the region, which has the third highest number of $1 million dollar-plus homes in the U.S., after Southern California and metro New York.

"There are so many outstanding homes in New England, and our mission is to showcase their great design and wonderful architecture," said founder and publisher Dan Kaplan, who has been in the business for more than 20 years. "The fact that we have 117 advertisers points to an almost pent-up demand for a magazine that reaches the affluent homeowner."

The first issue features stories on movie producer Mitch Robbins' Zen-style apartment in Boston's Back Bay and a mountain retreat in Stowe, Vt.
