Client: Sprint Yellow Pages, Kansas City, Mo. Agency: Valentine Radford, Kansas City Executive Creative Director: Bob Simon Creative Director: David Boensch Copywriter: Tracy Koeneke Morley Producer: John Pace Director: Jesse Dillon, Los Angeles Production Company: Straw Dogs, Los Angeles
In Valentine Radford's spot for Sprint's red-cover Yellow Pages directories, a man and woman fruitlessly searching for an antique shop encounter a billboard confirming what each has been thinking: "Yep. They're lost." Traveling in circles, they pass the billboard again, but this time it shows the antique shop's Yellow Pages ad and the tagline, "The best red Yellow Pages." The spot is airing in select markets and will expand to more than 40 next year. It is supported by radio, newspaper and outdoor executions.

Client: Iron-Out Inc., Fort Wayne, Ind. Agency: Young & Laramore, Indianapolis Executive Creative Directors: Jeff Laramore, David Young Art Director: Matt Lockett Copywriter: Scott Montgomery Director: Thom Zimmerman Production Company: Thomas Productions, Indianapolis
Bathroom rust stains are a problem, especially in rural Midwest markets where homeowners rely heavily on well water. Iron-Out eliminates those stains. The traditional advertising approach would be to demonstrate the product, but Young & Laramore's TV spot, currently testing in Indianapolis and Fort Wayne, is anything but traditional. In place of the usual fare is a wacky interior decorator who suggests that everything in the bathroom--from the towels to the vivid wall color--could be made orange to hide the rust stains. The offbeat spot closes with the tag, "If you don't want it to be orange, it isn't."
